Here are five random facts about me:

1. When I was a child, I often had short hair and often hung out with my brother and got mistaken for a boy a couple times. It was only a couple times and it was by adults who weren't really paying attention, but it really bothered me. I think these incidents are part of the reason I am now so attached to having long hair.

2. I didn't like / was afraid of cats until I was about 13, when I met the cat owned by some people I babysat for. Ever since then, I have been a cat lover.

3. Even though I'm a vegetarian, I still get cravings for hamburgers sometimes. One time a couple of years ago, I succumbed and went out and got a double cheeseburger at McDonald's.

4. I can sing / recite the words to many old TV show theme songs - Alice, The Beverly Hillbillies, The Brady Bunch, Good Times, The Jeffersons, The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Maude, Rhoda, to name a few.

5. My brother and sister and I loved Christmas so much when we were little. One year in October we took out all sorts of decorations, including a small artificial tree, and put them up in the basement. It was Christmas in the basement of our house, even though it was only October.
