Blog and comment weirdness: I'm thinking of a blog that I read irregularly (i.e. it's in my RSS reader, but NOT on my list of blogs here). The blogger posts fairly often and often includes a photograph or two. I'll let her posts add up in my RSS reader and then read a bunch of them in one sitting. Her entries are usually quite brief, and that's fine. It's a decent blog. What I don't get is why she gets a number of comments on every entry. I swear sometimes she'll post something like "Today was a good day" or "I don't have anything to say today" and she'll get like 7 comments saying things like "Oh I totally know what you mean" or "Yes, that's so true" or what-have-you as if she's just bared her soul and revealed some major universal truth. Huh? Well, maybe some of the commenters are her friends, and just want to communicate with her. Otherwise, it seems kind of weird.
