My doctor's visit went well, I didn't let the nurse weigh me, but my cholesterol reading has gone down so my doctor seemed happy about that. We also talked about working out. I told her how I like running on the treadmill because it seems to give me a really good workout, but that it goes better if I take ibuprofen. She said taking ibuprofen wasn't a problem as long as it didn't bother my stomach (it doesn't) and as long as it wasn't more than a few times a week. She also suggested using the elliptical trainer or bike because they would be easier on my joints, and I told her I do use them, but I like the treadmill because it seems to be a harder workout in less time. I also told her that I want to run a 5K (yes, I said it!), and so I have run in order to train for it.
The Equinox may not be until next Sunday, but as far as the weather is concerned, it is now autumn in Connecticut. Crisp air, leaves' changing color, pumpkins and chrysanthemums at the supermarket all remind me why this is my favorite of all seasons. I know it's the end of summer, but autumn feels like a beginning to me.
